Have revised my idea, deciding against going to anybody... I look and act like an idiot enough as it is!

I have a good idea!

Posted 2nd July 2010 at 01:47 PM by emmie_h_95
Hi all!
Sitting in my Work Ed class, I had a stroke of genius! Why don't I go to my local council and talk to them about this "Drovers Disease" I have sort of realised. If anyone thinks that this is a good idea, or wants some more info if they have no idea what I am talking about, email me at emily.hewett@education.nsw.gov.au or leave a comment on my blog. I would really appreciate anyone's opinion!

Thanks, Emily

Just a yell to anyone out there...

Posted 13th May 2010 at 02:27 PM by emmie_h_95
Hi all!

How do I start???...
I am a 14 year old girl living on a farm in the middle of nowhere with her parents and a couple of hundred sheep ( well actually more like a couple of thousand, but who's counting).

Anywho, I went to a performance of Burnt in Ardlethan last night and it really opened my eyes to what the drought is doing to all of us in Australia. The play was about a family struggling to keep their heads above water in the midst of the worst drought they'd seen in years. It showed how everyone was affected, not only the farmer, his wife, their 2 children, all the community.

It also highlighted something that hit home to a lot...
