Jumping Termite

I would just like hints on road ridiing etc.. I went for a 16 K ride today and I enjoyed it heaps. I was wondering if anyone knows how I could get into endurance riding.???

And what is the best way to deal with drivers that are a danger to people on the road riding horses??

This is just a post so we can share happy memories we have of horses.

One of mine was of an old pony I got when I was about 4-5 years old. She was white and really sweet. She made me fearless. I used to trot around in the round yard on her with my arms out and my eyes closed. She had been semi-neglected before we got her so when I used to go and spoil her with treats and grooming she loved it. When we used to saddle her up we could never get the girth tight enough due to being 2 5 year old kids so she would puff her belly out so we wouldn't fall off. One day our friends wanted to ride her so they got up and while they were trotting around she deflated and off they rolled...

Hey I was just wondering what everyone thought about SB's cause I have one and I am wieghing the pros and cons between Sb's and other breeds.

Hi. My horse is a Standardbred Square Gaiter (Trotter) and I am hoping to go 3 day eventing or something similiar but first i have to get him to canter better for dressage. in jumping it is not so hard because it is not so accurate. In jumping i have time to get him to canter easily and i have time to settl ehim to a nice forward going rhythm but in dressage it is extremely hard because he is uncomfortable cantering circles and because i have to work so hard to keep him cantering and going in a circle that he goes behind the bit. If anyone can let me know of some helpful excersizes or tips it would be appreciated.
