Hi Jess, I have somehow ended up riding western over the years, happened gradually and I wish it happened sooner!....just much more satistying for me.

I ride western, just love it! I don't ride competitively yet but would love to one day. My main riding horse (Bear - he's a 16hh paint) and I are working on getting a good foundation together. We were a bit of a green on green combo but we have a great bond and we have both learnt alot together.

We have been working on western pleasure, trail etc, until we have our foundation down pat then I would love to do some of the higher speed western events.

I'd love to get into western style riding, but havent been able to find any one local who coaches it, its all dressage or jumping around here
